Motor Vehicle Accidents
If you have suffered an injury in a motor vehicle accident you may be able to claim compensation under Queensland’s Compulsory Third Party (CTP) scheme.
Whether you are a passenger, injured driver, motorcycle rider, pillion passenger, the victim of a hit and run, a cyclist, a pedestrian, or even struck by an unregistered vehicle, the team at All Star Lawyers are here to help you.
Workplace Injuries
Under the Queensland workers’ compensation scheme, you may be entitled to claim for compensation if you have sustained a work-related injury.
If you have been injured by your employer’s negligence, you may be able to claim compensation for pain and suffering, past and future loss of earnings, and past and future medical and rehabilitation expenses.
Public Liability
If you have suffered an injury as a consequence of the negligence of a third party or organisation, you may be able to claim compensation for your injuries.
This includes claims for accidents in shopping centres, theme parks, slip and falls, footpath accidents, injuries arising from assaults and recreational or sporting activities and also accidents in public places.
OCCUPIERS’ LIABILITY CLAIMS
If you suffer an injury on somebody else's premises you may have entitlement to claim compensation for medical expenses and lost income.
DEPENDENCY & NERVOUS SHOCK
You may be entitled to make a claim for nervous shock or any psychiatric injury you suffer as a result of the death of a spouse or partner.
If you were also dependent upon the deceased you may be able to make a claim for financial losses caused by the accidental death.
SUPERANNUATION CLAIMS
Most superannuation funds provide Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) cover. You do not need to prove negligence against another party.
Generally, you may be eligible for TPD benefits if you demonstrate that you are unable to return to work for which you are reasonably qualified, trained or experienced, due to an illness or injury.
